In addition to the general bestsellers we also specialise in those subject areas that reflect our situation; West Cumbrians and Workingtonians are proud of their identity. Local history is very strong and the local sports and teams enjoy passionate support - Football, Rugby League and Speedway in particular. Local interest extends to maps and guides of W Cumbria, the Lake District, and Scotland.
We are the largest independent bookseller in West Cumbria serving a huge geographical area between Barrow in the South and Carlisle in the North - a distance of some 100 miles. Apart from the local product and general bestsellers we have large specialised sections for; Bargain books, Childrens books, Computer books, sci-fi & fantasy, crime fiction, travel, and Mind/Body/Spirit books.
